Rob Wielaert (born December 29, 1978 in Emmeloord , mostly Robbie Wielaert ) is a Dutch football player .

Career

society

Wielaert was a member of the PSV Eindhoven professional squad from the 1997/98 season . In two years he was used there only irregularly and therefore decided in the summer of 1999 to switch to the league competitor FC Den Bosch . Before that, he was able to win the Johan Cruyff Schaal in 1997 and 1998 with Eindhoven . In Den Bosch, the new league player, the central defender developed into a top performer. After their descent to the Eerste Divisie , he put himself back in the service of PSV for the 2001/02 season , but missed the breakthrough again. After only three months, Wielaert moved to the NEC Nijmegen , where he became a regular and an important pillar of the team. For the seasons 2001/02 and 2002/03 the NEC fans honored him with the award of the best player. After four years in Nijmegen he transferred to FC Twente Enschede , where the defender stayed for 2½ years. In the winter break of the 2008/09 season, Ajax Amsterdam finally secured the qualities of the defensive player. For the 2010/11 season , however, he was loaned to Roda JC Kerkrade . Here the 31-year-old was able to prove himself again in 30 games, which led to his subsequent two-year contract with Roda JC.

Private

Rob Wielart's father Gerald Wielart has also been employed by Roda JC Kerkrade since the 2011/12 season, as Technical Director. He was previously a scout at FC Twente in Enschede.
