Jean-Marc Ferreri (born December 26, 1962 in Charlieu ) is a former French football player .

Player career

Ferreri began his career in 1978 with AJ Auxerre . He stayed in Auxerre for a total of eight years . In 1986 he came to Girondins Bordeaux . In his first season in Weinstadt, he already won the French double. In the 1987/88 European Cup , Ferreri was even the top scorer. In 1991 he returned to AJ Auxerre for a year before moving to Olympique Marseille for a year in 1992 . He won the UEFA Champions League that year , but Ferreri did not take part in the final. He was also able to celebrate his second championship title in Marseille . From 1993 to 1994 he was under contract with FC Martigues . In 1994 he returned to Olympique and stayed until 1996. In the 1996/97 season he played for Sporting Toulon . In 1997 he ventured a year-long trip to Switzerland and signed with FC Zurich . In 1998 he let his career end for six months on the French overseas island of Réunion with Saint-Denis Saint-Leu in the third division.

Ferreri played 37 times for the French selection and scored three goals. He took part in the European Football Championship in 1984 in his own country. The French became European champions. He also took part in the 1986 World Cup in Mexico , where the team came third.

Life after time as a player

After the end of his career, Ferreri worked as a representative for the Italian sporting goods manufacturer Acerbis and has stayed with French football, in particular as a commentator on a number of live games that have now reached three figures on several television channels ( TF1 , Eurosport , M6 and W9 ). In addition, he, who owns a house in Sanary-sur-Mer, has held the position of Marketing Director at his former club, Sporting Toulon, since 2014 .
