Borislav Cvetković (born September 30, 1962 in Karlovac ) is a former Yugoslav football player . His older brother Zvjezdan Cvetković was also a professional footballer.

Career

Cvetković began his career at Dinamo Zagreb in 1980. He won the Yugoslav Championship and the Yugoslav Cup once in Zagreb . During his time at Dinamo, he was called up for the Yugoslav selection for the European Football Championship in 1984 in France , where Cvetković was used twice. Yugoslavia were eliminated in the group stage. In the same year he won the bronze medal with the Yugoslav soccer team at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles . 1986 moved to the then capital of Yugoslavia Belgrade to FK Red Star Belgrade . He celebrated his second championship title with Red Star. He was also the top scorer in the European Cup of the national championship season 1986/1987. In 1988 he went abroad to Ascoli Calcio in Italy for the first time . He stayed in Ascoli until 1991, where he was relegated from Serie A in 1990 with Calcio . He then played for two clubs in Serie E in Italy (Maceratese, ASD Caserta ), before hanging on for another season in the highest Yugoslav league at FK Borac Čačak . He ended his career in 1995.
