Pablo Piñones-Arce (born August 27, 1981 in Tumba , Stockholm County ) is a Swedish football player with Chilean roots. The offensive player, who played seven games for the Swedish U-21 team , has played in Sweden, Italy and Denmark during his career so far.

Career

Piñones-Arce started playing football at IFK Tumba in his hometown. Through the youth of IK Sirius , he came to the youth department of the Stockholm club IF Brommapojkarna . In 1999 he moved up to the squad of the second-rate men's team, but missed with her the qualification for the newly created Superettan from the following season . However, his talent was noticed outside of Sweden and so he moved to SSC Venice . For the Italian club he was mainly in the youth and reserve team and was not used in Serie A.

Piñones-Arce returned to Sweden in 2002 and moved to Hammarby IF . At the club playing in the Allsvenskan he was initially used as a substitute, but was able to fight for a regular place in the course of the 2002 season. At the beginning of the following year, U-21 selection coach Tommy Söderberg appointed him to the junior national team and made his debut in the national jersey in the 2-5 loss to the Hungarian U-21 selection , in which he prepared both Swedish goals. From 2004, he was no longer undisputed in the club due to his susceptibility to injuries and strong competition like Paulinho Guará or Björn Runström and - even if he played in more than half of the games in each seasons - was only irregularly the starting lineup. After the club officials did not try to negotiate the contract, Piñones-Arce decided in October 2006 shortly before the end of the contract to change the club. However, when he stood out for his good performances in the following games and shone as a regular goalscorer, the club reported interest in a contract extension in November.

Piñones-Arce decided against staying in the Allsvenskan and followed his compatriot Klebér Saarenpää to Vejle BK in the Danish Super League , where he signed a three-year contract. At the end of his first half series with the club, however, was relegation to the 1st division . In the second division he is one of the most dangerous players in the club, along with Adeshina Lawal and Henrik Toft , and with 17 goals this season helped them to get back up straight away .

After a row at his Danish club, Piñones-Arce wanted to leave the club in January 2009. In March he returned to Sweden for his first stint in adult football. IF Brommapojkarna loaned the player until the summer of 2009. Due to an injury, he was not used for the Stockholm club until the end of the loan period for the summer break. He then stayed with the Swedish club and signed a three-year contract. As a regular player until the end of the season he contributed with one goal and seven assists to the club's relegation as table twelfth, in the following season only supplementary player he rose with the club, however, in the second division.

In the Superettan, Piñones-Arce became a regular goalscorer, in the 2011 second division season he placed fourth on the top scorer list with 14 goals this season. In the 2012 season he was crowned top scorer with 18 goals in front of Robin Simovic from Ängelholms FF , Gudjón Baldvinsson from Halmstads BK and Freddy Söderberg from Östers IF , so he was one of the guarantees that the team coached by Roberth Björknesjö around Pontus Segerström , Nabil Bahoui , Ludwig Augustinsson and Tim Björkström as second in the table were promoted directly to Allsvenskan. Nevertheless, the club did not extend the expiring contract.

In mid-January 2013, Piñones-Arce joined the co-promoted Östers IF .
