Hans Carl Ludwig Augustinsson (born April 21, 1994 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player . The defender is under contract with Bundesliga club Werder Bremen . He made his debut in Swedish professional football in 2011, and four years later played his first international match for the senior national team . The 2015 U-21 European champion participated with the national team in the 2016 European Championship and the 2018 World Championship .

Career

Beginning in Sweden

Augustinsson comes from the youth of the Stockholm club IF Brommapojkarna . He made his debut for the second division team during the 2011 season . In the following season he established himself as a regular and played 27 of 30 point games. With the team he succeeded in 2012 as runner- up to the Allsvenskan ; However, he still left the club.

At the beginning of January 2013 he joined the multiple Swedish champions IFK Göteborg , according to press reports he had various offers from home and abroad . At the beginning of June 2014, the Danish club FC Copenhagen announced Augustinsson's commitment from January 2015, with which he signed a contract valid until summer 2019. Werder Bremen

For the 2017/18 season Augustinsson moved to Germany for Bundesliga club Werder Bremen , where he replaced Santiago García who had emigrated . At the end of January 2017 he signed a contract valid until June 30, 2021. In August 2018 he extended this prematurely until 2022. He made his Bundesliga debut on August 19, 2017 (1st matchday) in the 0-1 defeat in the away game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim ; He scored his first Bundesliga goal in his 21st Bundesliga game on February 11, 2018 (22nd matchday) in a 3-1 win at home against VfL Wolfsburg with the opening goal to make it 1-0 in the fourth minute. Augustinsson immediately became a regular player and top performer in Bremen. With the exception of five games that he missed due to injury or illness, he was in the starting XI in his first season.

National team

After Augustinsson had already played international matches for the U-17 , U-19 and U-21 national team starting in 2012 , he made his debut - as part of a tour to the Middle East - on January 15, 2015 in a 2-0 victory the senior team over the Ivory Coast national team .
