Paulo Roberto Chamon de Castillho , known as Paulinho Guará (born August 29, 1979 in Sete Lagoas , Minas Gerais ) is a Brazilian football player . The striker began his career at Atlético Mineiro and has played primarily in Sweden since 2002.

Career

Paulinho Guará began his career in his home country with Atlético Mineiro , for whose first team he appeared between 1999 and 2002. Together with his team-mate Afonso Alves , he left his home country that summer to join the Swedish club Örgryte IS . While his compatriot with 13 goals this season introduced himself directly to the top group of the goalscorer list, he contributed to reaching third place in the table with six goals this season. In the following year he distinguished himself as a regular goalscorer and finished second behind Niklas Skoog on the Allsvenskan goalscorer list. After the club was in danger of relegation in the course of the 2004 season and was also in the lower midfield under coach Zoran Lukić in the subsequent season , he decided to change clubs in the summer of 2005.

In August of the year Paulinho Guará moved within the Allsvenskan and joined Hammarby IF . Even at his new club, he was still a dangerous goal and in the 2006 season was again second in the scorers list, only surpassed by his compatriot Ari . At the side of Pablo Piñones-Arce , Suleyman Sleyman , Fredrik Stoor and Erkan Zengin , he led the club to third place. After the team could not repeat the success in the following season, the player wanted to try in summer 2008 to play in another country. Therefore, the club loaned him to the South Korean representative Busan I'Park , while on the other hand the contract was extended until 2010. At the end of January, however, he moved to South Korea on a permanent basis.

In March 2010 Paulinho Guará returned to Sweden on loan. He signed a loan contract with the first division club Örebro SK, which was valid until the end of the 2010 season . For long stretches of the season he helped Nordin Gerzić , Patrik Anttonen and Magnus Kihlberg with five goals this season to third place in the table for the team supervised by Sixten Boström . He then stayed in Sweden and signed a three-year contract in February of the following year with his former gaming station Hammarby IF. With the club he finished eleventh place in the table at the end of the second division season 2011 .
