Suleyman Sleyman (born December 28, 1979 in Södertälje ) is a Swedish football player of Syrian-Aramaic descent.

career

Sleyman started playing football at Södertälje FF . His first stop in men's football was Syrianska FC . In 1998 he went to Hammarby IF , but was rarely used due to injury problems. To gain match practice, he briefly returned to Syrianska FC on loan in 2000. Then he went back to Hammarby IF, where he was able to earn a regular place in the sequence. In 2001 he won the championship with the team. In 2006, he missed most of the season due to an injury that he sustained in training camp in preparation for the season, but was then able to regain his regular place.

On January 13, 2008 Sleyman made his debut in the Swedish national team . In the 1-0 win over the Costa Rican national team on the occasion of an American tour, he was in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 71st minute by Peter Larsson , another debutant.
