Fredrik Stoor (born February 28, 1984 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player . The defender made his debut for the Swedish national team in 2008 .
Career
Stoor started playing football at Kärrtorp BK . He joined the youth team at Hammarby IF in 1996 via Skogås / Trångsund FF . On May 1, 2003 he made his debut for the club in the professional team. After he was only used sporadically in his first two seasons, he established himself in the professional squad from the 2005 season and was regularly used. In December 2006 he was signed by Rosenborg BK in exchange for Uruguayan midfielder Sebastián Eguren .
In Norway, Stoor was able to assert himself as a regular player and played for RBK in the Tippeligaen and in the European Cup . He made national coach Lars Lagerbäck attention through good performances and on January 13, 2008 Stoor made his debut in the Swedish national team on the occasion of a South American tour of the Swedes in a 1-0 victory over the Costa Rican national team . In the summer, Lagerbäck considered him in the squad for the European Championship 2008 , where he was able to establish himself on the right side of the defense of the Swedish team.
Through his international appearances, Stoor aroused the interest of teams outside Northern Europe. During the transfer window in summer 2008, he joined Fulham in the English Premier League , where he signed a four-year contract. At his new employer he initially played mainly in cup games, he made his Premier League debut in October in the 1-0 defeat by West Bromwich Albion when he was substituted on for John Paintsil . After he could not prevail in the Premier League, the club loaned him to the second division Derby County in September 2009 , for which he played regularly in the Football League Championship . In mid-December, his regular club called him back shortly before the end of the loan period that lasted until the turn of the year after an injury. He then looked for a new club during the winter transfer period. However, the offers did not fit the ideas of the club or the player, so that he is still in the squad of the first division.
After he was unable to assert himself at FC Fulham in the following year, he moved to the Norwegian first division club Vålerenga Oslo and signed a contract there until the end of June 2013.
