Career
Rexhepi, who came to Sweden with his family in the early 1990s, played in his youth at Eslövs BK and Lunds BK . In 2009 he switched to the youth division of Malmö FF . In 2010 he made his debut for the club in the Allsvenskan , by the end of the 2010 season he contributed to winning the championship in ten league appearances and played his way into the Swedish U-19 national team . While he also came mainly as a substitute in the following seasons, he stayed in the national team and made his debut in the Swedish U-21 national team in early 2011 . When he won the championship again in the 2013 season, he was overshadowed by Magnus Eriksson , Tokelo Rantie and Guillermo Molins, who was also signed up in the summer . Ultimately, he only played six of his 17 season games from the start.
Before the start of the 2014 season, Rexhepi moved within Allsvenskan to the Stockholm club IF Brommapojkarna , where he signed a two-year contract. Under coach Stefan Billborn , assisted by his former youth coach from Malmö times, Patrick Winqvist , he was in the regular formation right away. Although he faced relegation from the start with the club, the team reached the third qualifying round of the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League for the first time in their history with two goals against Crusaders FC . He had previously made his debut for the Kosovar national team in May, when they lost a significant 6-1 defeat to Turkey despite a goal from Albert Bunjaku .
