Stefan Billborn

Stefan Billborn (born November 15, 1972 ) is a Swedish football coach .

Career

Billborn coached as a youth coach at Högdalens AIS and Rågsveds IF. He came to Stockholm club IF Brommapojkarna in 1997 , where he subsequently held various positions and coached various youth teams. From 2011 he was assistant coach to Roberth Björknesjö . When he announced his departure from the club in December 2013, Billborn took over as his successor. While the club succeeded at the bottom of the table under his leadership in the 2014 season , the team reached the third qualifying round for the first time in the 2014/15 UEFA Europa League . There she was eliminated with two defeats against FC Turin . After relegation to the second division as bottom of the table at the end of the season, Magni Fannberg took over the coaching position of the competition team.

In the spring of 2015, Stockholm city rivals Hammarby IF signed Billborn as the new head of the club's youth academy. Later he moved up as a coaching assistant to the coaching staff of the competition team and worked with Jakob Michelsen . After he was divorced from his post at the beginning of 2018, the club promoted Billborn to the new head coach and gave him a three-year contract. Under his leadership, the team settled in the top third of the table in the 2018 season .
