The Kategoria e Pare 1954 (mutatis mutandis: First League ) was the 17th staging of the Albanian football championship and was the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit aligned. The season began on February 28th and ended on July 25th, 1954.

Season course

Compared to the previous year , the league was increased from ten to twelve teams. In 1953 Spartaku Pogradec was relegated directly from theategoria e Parë. Spartaku Tirana , who completed its first season in the first division, and Puna Elbasan and Puna Kavaja , who returned to the league after a year of abstinence , rose from the then still second-rate category e dytë for 1954 . The defending champion was KS Dinamo Tirana .

The championship was played in a regular season with a round trip. Each team competed twice against each other team. A relegated was not determined because the league was to be expanded to 16 participants for 1955.

A total of 397 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 3.0 goals per game. The top scorer cannot be proven with certainty due to incomplete statistics. It is believed that either Refik Resmja of Partizani Tirana or Hamdi Bakalli of KS Dinamo Tirana have scored the most hits.

After four seasons in which Dinamo Tirana had just won the title ahead of Partizani Tirana , Partizani managed for the first time to turn the tables and beat Dinamo. This was clearly achieved with a seven point lead after 22 games. In addition, the club remained undefeated. Record champion Puna Tirana came in third, twelve points behind the top. Eight points behind Tirana, Puna Shkodra was fourth ahead of Luftëtari i Shkollës së Bashkuar e Oficerëve "Enver Hoxha" Tirana . The best climber was Puna Kavaja in sixth place, tied with Puna Vlora and Dinamo Durrës , which local rival Puna Durrës was able to distance. Newcomers Spartaku Tirana and Puna Korça finished tenth and eleven, the latter was another climber with Puna Elbasan .
