←ategoria e Parë 1990/91

The Kategoria e Pare 1991/92 (mutatis mutandis: First League ) was the 53rd staging of the Albanian football championship and was the National Football Association Federata Shqiptare e Futbollit aligned. The season began on September 21, 1991 and ended on May 17, 1992.

Season course

The league was increased from 14 to 16 teams compared to the previous year. In season 1990/91 was Luftëtari Gjirokastër relegated from the Kategoria e Pare, for the new season came KS Pogradeci and KS Laçi and KS Selenica , completed both her first season at the highest Albanian Football League, added. The defending champion was KS Flamurtari Vlora .

Due to the collapse of the communist dictatorship in the country in 1990 and 1991 there were numerous name changes of the clubs. So from the Pogradecer club was Ylli i Kuq (dt .: Red Star ) of KS Pogradeci from Labinoti Elbasan the KF Elbasani and from 17 Nëntori (dt .: November 17 ) again as before the Second World War SK Tirana . Also Lokomotiva Durres and Traktori Lushnja took their old pre-war name Teuta and KS Lushnja again.

The championship was held in a regular season with only two rounds instead of the previous three. Each team competed twice against each other team. The two bottom of the table were relegated directly to the then still second-rate category e dytë . Due to a decision by the European football association UEFA , all Albanian clubs were excluded from the European Cup competitions for the following season , so that the clubs could not qualify for international business via the league or the Kupa e Shqipërisë .

A total of 535 goals were scored, which corresponds to an average of 2.2 goals per game. Edmir Bilali from KS Vllaznia Shkodra was the top scorer with 21 goals .

After the third place in the previous season, Vllaznia Shkodra managed to jump to the top and thus the seventh championship title in the club's history. Partizani Tirana , who had to be satisfied with the runner-up title for the fourth time in a row , was able to distance itself with a sovereign six-point lead . Teuta Durrës , who reappeared under his old name, followed suit , with only 30 goals scored in 30 games. With only 20 goals they conceded the best defense in the league. Teuta, like fourth-placed Besa Kavaja , managed to improve from the lower midfield into the top group. This was followed by Dinamo Tirana and defending champion Flamurtari Vlora , who would have come in third without the six penalty points received. Over half of the league was involved in the relegation battle this season; the table sixth Vlora and KS Selenica on the first relegation place only separated two points in the end. Could save just under the other top team SK Tirana , KS Lushnja , which provided with two counters deduction Apolonia Fier , Tomori Berat , KF Elbasani and the newcomer KS Laçi . His co-promoted KS Pogradeci and Kastrioti Kruja avoided falling into the second division only thanks to their better goal difference against Selenica, who ultimately missed three goals to stay in the league. On the other hand , the bottom of the table Skënderbeu Korça was beaten , who only managed fifteen goals of his own and thirteen points separated the saving line.
