Flemming Jørgensen
Flemming "Bamse" Duun Jørgensen (born February 7, 1947 in Randers , † January 1, 2011 in Egå ) was a Danish singer and actor .
Career
Flemming Duun Jørgensen grew up in Viby and trained as a lathe operator in Aarhus . At the age of 16 he made his first public appearance as a musician at a youth festival. In 1973 he founded the music group Bamses Venner ("Friends of the Bear"). In 1980, Bamses Venner won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix and took 14th place in the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Tænker altid på dig .
In addition to his success with the band, for which he was a singer, bassist and lyricist, Jørgensen also released numerous solo albums. He was also active as an actor and won a Robert for Best Supporting Actor in Ofelia kommer til byen in 1986 .
Flemming Jørgensen died of heart failure on New Year's Eve 2011 in Egå, a suburb of Aarhus.
