Trzciana (German Schönau ) is a residential area near Mysłowice ( Moitzelfitz ) in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland .

Geographical location

The place is located in Western Pomerania about 35 kilometers south of Kołobrzeg (Kolberg) , about 500 meters south of the road between Mysłowice ( Moitzelfitz ) in the west and Sławoborze ( Stolzenberg ) in the east. West of the residential area is a small, largely silted-up lake. About one kilometer to the southeast is the Zagrody ( Vierhof ) residential area belonging to Słowieńsko ( Schlenzig ).

history

The place was founded at the end of the 1880s as the second Vorwerk of the manor in Moitzelfitz, after Wedderwill founded at the beginning of the century . Both Vorwerke were detached from the Moitzelfitz manor around 1890 and sold.

Since then, Schönau has been managed as an independent estate by changing owners. The last German landowner was Hans Neubarth, who managed Schönau from the 1920s to 1945. The estate comprised (as of 1939) 291 hectares of land and had a population of 22 horses, 75 cattle and 120 pigs.

Schonau initially belonged to Gutsbezirk Moitzelfitz and came after its dissolution, in time to the beginning of the First World War , the rural community Moitzelfitz. With Moitzelfitz it belonged to the Kolberg-Körlin district in the Prussian province of Pomerania until 1945 .

Schönau was right on the border between the Kolberg-Körlin district and the Schivelbein district (1932–1945 Belgard district (Persante) ). The Vierhof plant , located about one kilometer to the southeast, was already part of the neighboring district.

After the Second World War , Schönau, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The population was driven out. The Polish state gave the place the name Trzciana .
