Andresito is a place in Uruguay .

geography

It is located in the Flores department in sector 3 . Andresito is located south of the mouths of the Arroyo Grande and the Río Yí in the Río Negro . A few kilometers away, these three rivers form the borders with the neighboring districts of Soriano , Durazno and Río Negro . In a north-westerly direction, Palmar is a few kilometers away . To the east, Feliciano is the closest major settlement. The arroyo sauce rises around four kilometers south of Andresito .

history

The place was actually founded in 1939 on the banks of the Arroyo Grande. However, it has only been in its current position since it was reburied as a result of the construction of the Represa de Palmar hydropower plant and the former local area was flooded.

Culture

In Andresito, the Andresito le canta al país festival, organized by the Intendencia Municipal of Flores , has been taking place regularly since the early 1990s . In 2012, the event was held in its 21st edition with around 40,000 visitors.
