Joanna Wiśniewska (born May 24, 1972 in Wroclaw ) is a Polish discus thrower .

Wiśniewska won the silver medal behind the Romanian Nicoleta Grasu and ahead of the Brazilian Elisângela Adriano at the Summer Universiade 1999 in Palma de Mallorca with a personal best of 63.97 m . In the following years she was able to qualify for international championships again and again, but without achieving outstanding results. She was ninth at the 2002 European Championships in Munich and tenth at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. At the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki and at the 2006 European Championships in Gothenburg, she finished twelfth.

Although Wiśniewska reached sixth place at the 2007 World Championships in Osaka. But at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing and at the 2009 World Championships in Berlin, she failed in the qualifying round. Her greatest success up to then came as a surprise when she won the bronze medal behind the Croatian Sandra Perković and Nicoleta Grasu at the European Championships 2010 in Barcelona at the age of 38 .
