KS Pogradeci is an Albanian football club from Pogradec , which currently plays in the second highest league .

history

The club was founded in 1932 under the name Klubi Sportiv Dragoj Pogradec .

In the 1936 season, the club played for the first time in Albania's highest league, which was then still calledategoria e Parë . The 1937 season, the club remained in theategoria e Parë, after which the league operation was interrupted.

1950 played the club as Spartaku Pogradec for a year again in the top division. 1952 even succeeded in maintaining the league. In 1953 , however, the descent followed again. The 1964/65 and 1968 seasons spent the club - this time with the name Ylli i Kuq Pogradec (Red Star Pogradec) - again in the first division, but each landed in last place.

The greatest success in the club's history was reaching the semi-finals of the Albanian Football Cup in the 1992/93 season. Since the 1991/92 season , the club, now called KS Pogradeci , played again in the first division, but rose again in 1993.

The club spent another season in 2011/12 in the highest highest leagueategoria Superiore .

In 2020, KS Pogradeci rose again to the Superiore category .
