history
In 1919 the Shoqëria Vllaznia was founded in Shkodra . In 1930 the sports department merged with other local sports clubs, the Bashkimi Sportiv Shkodran . In the same year you play as a founding member in the first division . In 1935 the club was renamed KS Vllaznia Shkodër again. The first championship title was achieved under this name in 1945. In 1949 the association was called Shkodër . However, after only one year, the name Puna Shkodër was changed. In 1958 he called himself again KS Vllaznia Shkodër, in 2002 KF Vllaznia Shkodër and since 2008 FK Vllaznia Shkodër.
For the 1971/72 season, the club was qualified for the UEFA Cup for the first time, but withdrew its participation again, so that SK Rapid Wien moved into the next round without a fight. In the 1978/79 season Vllaznia then completed his first games on the international stage, but was just eliminated by FK Austria Wien . In 1979/80, the club withdrew its participation in the European Cup Winners' Cup without playing its first round games against FK Dynamo Moscow . In 1987 the Albanians celebrated their highest international victory to date with a 4-0 away win at Sliema Wanderers in Malta , but failed in the next round due to Rovaniemi PS . In the years that followed, Vllaznia never made it past the second round in numerous international competitions.
In 2008 Vllaznia celebrated his last national title by winning the Albanian Cup . After a very bad 2017/18 season , which ended Vllaznia in penultimate place, the club even had to relegate to the second division . But it managed to win in the preliminary round (group A) of the categoria e parë 2018/19 and group A in the championship round . Although the final game was lost, they returned to the top division.
Women's soccer
In 2013, Vllaznia took over the women's football department from KS Ada Velipoja. The women who had previously won the Albanian women's soccer championship three times in a row - out of four events - also remained successful under the new club: They won the championship in 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Internationally, however, they have so far been unsuccessful in the UEFA Women's Champions League .
