Loro Boriçi
Loro Boriçi (born August 10, 1922 in Shkodra , † April 28, 1984 in Tirana ) was an Albanian football player and coach . He played in the position of midfielder .
career
Loro Boriçi began his career in his hometown with KS Vllaznia Shkodra , where he played from 1937 to 1941/42. For the season 1941/42 the Albanians joined Lazio in the Italian Serie A . Here he played a total of two seasons and came on 18 missions and 3 goals. After the 1942/43 season, Boriçi returned to his parent club where he stayed until 1948. He then moved to the capital to Partizani Tirana , where he ended his career in 1957.
From 1957 to 1976 Loro Boriçi was the national team coach of Albania . He also looked after the Albanian team in the European Championship qualifier Albania - Germany from 1967, which went down in German football history as the shame of Tirana . Around the same time, he was also Partizani’s coach.
Today the Shkodra Stadium , home of Vllaznia Shkodra, is named after him.
