Murat Kandil (born April 18, 1955 in Istanbul ) is a former Turkish football player and current coach.
Athletic career
Kandil played for Konya İdman Yurdu at the beginning of his career . In 1977 the striker moved to Galatasaray Istanbul . For the yellow-reds he came to ten league games. After just one season, Kandil left Galatasaray and joined Gaziantepspor . With Gaziantepspor he rose to the first division at the end of the 1978/79 season. He stayed with Gaziantepspor until the end of the 1980/81 season.
Before the start of the 1981/82 season, Murat Kandil went to league rivals Kocaelispor . In 1986 Murat Kandil ended his active career.
Coaching career
Six years after retiring, Murat Kandil became the head coach of Beylerbeyi SK . In February 1993 his contract with Beylerbeyi was terminated. In 1995 he returned to Beylerbeyi as a youth coach.
Since November 1, 2018 he has been a youth coach at Şile Yıldızspor .
