Career
Gabriel played for TJ Praga and Sparta Prague in his hometown as a youth before switching between different Czech teams. During this time he also became a Czech national player and played a total of 10 international matches for the national team .
In 2000 the defender then went abroad and moved to the German Bundesliga for 1. FC Kaiserslautern . Thrown back due to injuries, he was never able to establish himself there and only made seven Bundesliga games in two and a half years, which is why he was loaned to FK Teplice in his home country in early 2003 .

On the fifth day of the 2006/2007 season, he scored his first Bundesliga goal in Bielefeld's 2-1 defeat in Bochum.
For the 2008/09 season Gabriel moved to his former club Viktoria Žižkov . After the club's relegation, he ended his career in June 2009.
