Marek Kincl (born April 3, 1973 in Prague ) is a Czech football player on the position of striker .

Club career

The Czech is considered a classic center forward who has both a hard shot and a good header game . The striker played in various Czech clubs in the early years of his career. These included the well-known clubs SK Hradec Králové , FC Slovan Liberec , Dukla Příbram and FK Viktoria Žižkov .

In total, Kincl was with eleven different Czech clubs before moving to Sparta Prague in 2000 . The striker previously drew attention to himself with 15 goals in 22 championship games for Viktoria Žižkov. Kincl celebrated his most successful time in the Czech league at Sparta Prague, but was often not represented in the regular team. In 2003 he won the Czech championship for the second time with the team after 2001, but only played eight times in the starting XI. In the following 2003/04 Champions League season he was able to achieve the winning goal for Sparta against Lazio Rome and thus brought the team into the second round.

However, this was Kincl's last game for Sparta so far. During the winter break he went to Russia to Zenit St. Petersburg . There the Czech scored one goal in five games. After a few months he changed clubs again and went to Vienna for the Austrian first division club SK Rapid Wien . There he was able to score nine league goals in his first season and became champions with the team. In May 2007 the Czech striker moved from Rapid to the second division ASK Schwadorf . In the summer of 2008 Kincl moved to the Czech first division promoted FK Bohemians Prague . Kincl moved to fourth division SK Viktorie Jirny in August 2010.

National team

Marek Kincl made his debut in 2000 at the age of almost 27 as part of the Carlsberg Cup against Mexico for the Czech national football team . In the 61st minute of the game he was substituted on for Pavel Verbíř , the Czech Republic won 2-1. His second and last international match he played on August 16, 2000, the Czech team was defeated by Slovenia in Ostrava with 0: 1. Kincl came on the field in the 75th minute for Jan Koller .
