Zdeněk Svoboda (born May 20, 1972 in Brno ) is a former Czech soccer player and today's soccer coach .

society

Zdeněk Svoboda began playing football at Sokol Soběsice, and after two years he moved to Zbrojovka Brno . The midfielder made his debut for Brno in the 1989/90 season in the 1st Czechoslovak League. From 1991 to 1992 Svoboda did his military service at Dukla Prague and then returned to Brno.

After only six months he moved to Sparta Prague , where he spent most of his career. For Sparta Svoboda played 174 first division games, in which he scored 25 goals, and he won the Czech championship seven times with Sparta .

In October 2001 Svoboda moved to the Belgian first division club KVC Westerlo , but for which he played only 22 games in three and a half years due to persistent injury problems. In the summer of 2005 Svoboda went to the Oberliga Nord for BV Cloppenburg , after a year he moved on to the Sliema Wanderers in Malta . In 2007 he moved to the Czech amateur club SK Marila Votice and ended his active career there in 2009.

National team

In 1996 and 1997 Svoboda completed nine games for the Czech national football team .
