Samir Muratović (born February 25, 1976 in Zvornik ) is a former Bosnian-Herzegovinian football player in the position of midfielder , who has been a youth coach since 2014.
Career
Muratović's first stop was at FK Drina Zvornik in Bosnia-Herzegovina . After good performances with the Bosnians, the playmaker switched to Kocaelispor in the Turkish Turkcell Süper Lig . Then it went back to Bosnia to FK Željezničar Sarajevo . In 2000 he moved to Germany for Chemnitzer FC . After half a year in the second German Bundesliga , his way to Russia led to Saturn Ramenskoye . In January 2004 he switched to the Austrian Bundesliga for the Grazer AK , with whom he was champion and cup winner in the current season. During the summer break, after the athletes' (financial) decline in 2007, the Bosnian switched to local rivals SK Sturm Graz , and the contract was signed for two years. On April 30, 2008, he extended his contract for another three years until 2011. In December 2008, Muratović was awarded the MVP of the league by sportnet.at . According to the statistics, he prevailed against the two other contenders Milenko Ačimovič ( FK Austria Wien ) and Erwin Hoffer ( SK Rapid Wien ). On the last match day of the 2010/11 season he won the championship title with SK Sturm and occasionally contributed a decisive goal to the 2-1 success with his late goal in the final against Wacker Innsbruck. Shortly after the final whistle, he also announced that he would extend his expiring contract with Sturm for another year until 2012 and that he would forego half of his salary. After five years with the Blackies, he moved within Styria to FC Gratkorn in the Regionalliga Mitte (third highest division) in the summer of 2012 . There he ended his active career after 24 league games and three goals, got the UEFA A license and began his work as a youth coach at SK Sturm Graz, where he initially looked after the U-14 team from 2014 before he closed came to one of the U-15 teams and acted as the coach of the U-9 boys.
