    General

In the single-track Second Class A, nine clubs played in an autumn and a spring round of eight games each for the championship title this season. For the first time since the beginning of the war, the championship title, as well as the runner-up title this season, allowed them to be promoted to the top class again. Master of the Second Class A was the first time since their re-entry into the Austrian Association in 1916, the Vienna . Admira Vienna came in second and with this success was able to move up to 1st class for the first time in the club's history. Defending champion SC Donaustadt, who had to remain champion in the second division several times due to the suspended promotion in previous years, could not participate in the fight for the title and only finished fourth.

Last season SC Ober St. Veit and FFK Sturm were promoted to the second level. Both clubs occupied only the last ranks, but could remain in the league due to an increase in the division to 15 clubs.
