The Upper Austrian Football Association (OFV) is the umbrella organization for all football clubs in Upper Austria . The OFV is a full member of the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB) and its statutes.

The Upper Austrian Football Association is responsible for organizing the men's football championships in the individual Upper Austrian divisions from the Upper Austrian League and the women's football championships in the individual Upper Austrian divisions from the Upper Austrian Women's League . In addition, the OFV organizes the Baumgartner Bier-Landescup and the Upper Austrian Women's Cup as well as the indoor state championships and various youth competitions. The OFV organizes the Central Regional League together with the Carinthian Football Association and the Styrian Football Association .

Association

The OFV is based in Linz . The association is currently headed by Gerhard Götschhofer as President. The President is supported by the Country Director and other departments for Development & Strategy , Marketing & PR and Sports, which are divided into departments .

The board of directors, which is made up of representatives from the association and experts, forms the association's decision-making body. In addition, there are individual commissions for the departments of Finance & Organization , Law & Structure , Sport , Infrastructure , Match Operations , Referees and Future .

Leagues of the OFV

The OFV is responsible for the organization of the Upper Austrian leagues in women's and men's soccer.

Men

The OFV organizes all men's soccer leagues in Upper Austria starting with the Upper Austrian League (level 4 in the Austrian soccer league system ). Each team below the Upper Austrian League may register a 1b team in the championship, which plays with the other 1b teams of the corresponding league in its own 1b league. The 1b teams of the higher class clubs take part in the regular championship.

The OFV organizes all women's soccer leagues in Upper Austria starting with the Upper Austrian women's league (level 3 in the Austrian women's soccer league system). Three OFV clubs have won national men's titles so far. For women, this feat has so far only been achieved by Union Kleinmünchen . Kleinmünchen is also the most successful OFV clubs on a national level.
