    Second performance level

The 2nd division represents the second highest performance group in Austrian women's football. In order to reduce the costs for the clubs, it is divided into four regional groups: 2nd division middle, 2nd division east, 2nd division south and 2nd division west.

The second performance level consisted of four leagues, separated by region:

    • 2nd league center with the clubs from Upper Austria ( OFV ) and Salzburg ( SFV ),
    • 2nd league east with the clubs from Lower Austria ( NÖFV ) and Vienna ( WFV ),
    • 2. League South with the clubs from Burgenland ( BFV ), Carinthia ( KFV ) and Styria ( StFV ) and
    • 2nd Division West with the clubs from Tyrol ( TFV ) and Vorarlberg ( VFV ).

The general mode provides that the champions of the leagues could play in a relegation for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. The bottom of the table in each league was relegated.

    2nd division middle

    mode

The league consisted of ten clubs that played against each other twice in two rounds (autumn and spring), that is 14 rounds. The club placed last is relegated.

    Season course

The 2nd middle division was played for the 7th time this season. The 2nd middle division began on August 26, 2006 and ended on June 10, 2007 with the 14th round. The opening game was the match between USK Hof and SV Spittal / Drau . Champion became the USK court and was qualified for relegation. Because the amateur team from Kleinmünchen will no longer compete in this league next season, the women from Union Nebelberg will not be relegated .

    2nd Division West

The 2nd Division West has been involved in the relegation games for a long time, as several clubs in western Austria took part and were able to finance the expenses of a championship operation in the ÖFB women's league.

    mode

Since the number of participating teams had increased from nine to eleven, the mode was changed compared to last season. The eleven clubs, like last year, played against each other twice in two rounds (autumn and spring). However, there were 9 rounds per round, with one team pausing each round. During the championship, a club that was no longer named was withdrawn for economic reasons. The games of this club were not counted at all and so 2 clubs paused per round. For this reason, a total of 18 rounds and 14th games per club, the champion was chosen who was allowed to play in the relegation for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. The last-placed teams in the championship, however, had to relegate to the respective national leagues.

    Season course

The 2nd Division West began on September 9, 2006 and ended on June 16, 2007 with the 18th round. Champion was superior to FC Wacker Tirol with 42 points and a goal difference of 158 goals and played relegation for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. For sporting or economic reasons, FC Rätia Bludenz , SPG FC Alberschwende / FC Egg , FC Nüziders and SK Zirl were relegated .
