The Austrian women's soccer championship was held for the 49th time in 2020/21 after the 35-year break between 1938 and 1972. The top division is the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga and was held for the 8th time. The second highest division ( 2nd league ), this season the 42nd edition, will be played across Austria for the 2nd time. The season lasted from mid-August to mid-June.

    Second performance level - 2nd division

    The 2nd league is the second highest division in Austrian women's football and will be played for the 41st time (Austria-wide for the first time) in the 2019/20 season. Ten teams will compete in the 2020/21 season, an eleventh and twelfth team did not want to participate. Each team plays once at home and away against every other team. The league champion is promoted to the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga. The team on the last rank is relegated to the respective national league.
