The Austrian women's soccer championship was held for the 39th time in 2010/11 after the 35-year break between 1938 and 1972. The top division is the ÖFB women's league and was held for the 6th time. The second highest division ( 2nd league ), the 32nd edition this season, was divided into three regional leagues, with the 2nd league center / west for the 2nd time, the 2nd league east and the 2nd league south for the 2nd time 5th time was held. The season lasted from mid-August to mid-June.
The Austrian soccer champion was SV Neulengbach for the 9th time in a row . The champions of the second highest division were Heeres SV Wals (center / west), ASV Spratzern (east) and 1. DFC Leoben (south). In the relegation games ASV Spratzern was able to prevail and was thus entitled to play in the ÖFB women's league in the 2011/12 season .
Internationally, SV Neulengbach was able to qualify for the round of 16 after a 2-1 defeat at Kairat Almaty and a 5-0 home win. Neulengbach then had to admit defeat 1: 3 and 0: 1 against Malmö.

The ÖFB women's league was contested by ten teams. These determined the Austrian football champions and the representatives of Austria in the international competitions of the 2011/12 season in one round with a round trip.
Season course
As in the previous seasons, the championship ended with the championship title for SV Neulengbach , who won with 52 points and a goal difference of plus 70 in front of FC Südburgenland . In addition to the championship, Neulengbach won the ÖFB Ladies Cup of the 2010/11 season.

Second performance level - 2nd division
The 2nd league represents the second highest performance group in Austrian women's football. In order to reduce the costs for the clubs, it is divided into three regional groups: 2nd league middle / west, 2nd league east and 2nd league south.
The second performance level consisted of three leagues, separated by region:
- 2nd league middle / west with the clubs from Upper Austria ( OFV ), Salzburg ( SFV ), Tyrol ( TFV ) and Vorarlberg ( VFV ),
- 2. League East with the clubs from Lower Austria ( NÖFV ) and Vienna ( WFV ) and
- 2. League South with the clubs from Burgenland ( BFV ), Carinthia ( KFV ) and Styria ( StFV ).
The general mode provides that the champions of the leagues could play in a relegation for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. The bottom of the table in each league was relegated.
2nd division middle / west
mode
The league consisted of ten clubs at the start of the season, but after a few rounds ASKÖ Doppl / Hart was dissolved and the championship was continued with nine clubs that played against each other twice in two rounds (autumn and spring). After these 16 rounds, the champions of the league competed against the champions of the 2nd league east / south in the relegation. Due to the dissolution of ASKÖ Doppl / Hart, the relegated team was certain before the end of the season.
Season course
The 2nd division Middle / West began on August 21, 2010 and ended on July 5, 2011 with the 18th round. The opening game was the match between FC Wels Ladies and FC Geretsberg . Champion Army SV Wals , who would qualify for the play-offs, came not to the games.

2nd League East
mode
The eleven teams play two games against each other, a home and an away game. After 20 rounds, the champion who fights for a place in the ÖFB women's league is determined. The last three teams are relegated to the regional league.
Season course
The 2nd league east began on August 8, 2010 and ended on June 4, 2011 with the total of the 20th round. The opening game was the match between ASV Hornstein and SV Neulengbach II . Champion was the ASV spatters descend had SV wholesale Schweinbarth , SV Furth Ladies and first SVg Guntramsdorf .

2nd League South
mode
The league consisted of seven clubs that played against each other in one round and two back runs. After these 18 rounds, the champions of the league had to fight against the champions of the 2nd league east for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. Places two and three have a place in the newly established 2nd league east / south. The four last placed teams, however, had to relegate to the respective national league.
Season course
The 2nd League South began on August 22, 2010 and ended on June 6, 2010 with the 16th round. The opening game was the match between SC St. Ruprecht / Raab and FC Südburgenland II . The champions were SC / ESV Parndorf , who qualified for the relegation games for promotion to the ÖFB women's league. 1. DFC Leoben and FC Südburgenland II secured the places for the 2nd league east / south. The SC St. Ruprecht / Raab, SG LUV Graz II / Mariatrost , FC Feldkirchen and SV Spittal / Drau had to relegate .

Relegation to the ÖFB women's league
There was a relegation duel for promotion to the ÖFB women's league for the 2011/12 season , which was played in a first leg and a second leg. The relegation to the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga was contested by the champions of the 2nd League South, SC / ESV Parndorf, and ASV Spratzern, who won the 2nd League East.
