SKV Altenmarkt is a football club from Altenmarkt an der Triesting . The women's soccer department of SKV Altenmarkt, where the men's team was dissolved in 2016, has existed since 2004. The first team plays in the ÖFB women's Bundesliga . The second team competes in the 2nd league east / south . There are also three girls' teams.
Club history
After several clubs were founded in the 1960s, including the UFC Altenmarkt in 1961 and the football department of TSV Altenmarkt in 1965, Franz Grundböck, deputy Gustav Steinbacher, organizational manager Karl Pöcha, secretary Franz Aigner, treasurer Hanns Balber and adviser Franz Rotheneder founded the July 18, 1979 SKV Altenmarkt as another football club.

The women's team of SKV Altenmarkt was founded in 2004 under President Verena Satran and played in the regional league South / Southeast in the early years. In the third year the promotion to the Lower Austrian regional league could be fixed, in which one managed the promotion to the second Austrian women's league in the next season. In the first year in the 2nd league they came first, but they lost the relegation games against FC Stattegg. In the fourth year they were able to reach first place again and also made it to the ÖFB women's league, as HSV Wals from Salzburg did not compete. So far you have always placed yourself in the middle of the field in the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga.
