history

The Gloggnitz sports association was founded in 1922 with the club colors blue and white. The sporty successful period of the club was the champion in the Lower Austrian League in the season 1948 / 49 initiated. The superior title win in front of the clubs SC Brunn and SC Harland enabled direct promotion to the newly founded Austrian State Football League . The absolute highlights in Gloggnitz were the competitive games against SK Rapid Wien and FK Austria Wien , each of which attracted around 10,000 spectators to the Alpenstadion. With four wins and three draws, the club in his only Erstligasaison reached 1949 / 50 but only eleven points and had in the 1950 / 51 newly introduced State League B dismount. After the descent of the state B League the SV Gloggnitz played in the Lower Austrian division in which they 1960 / 61 was deposited Austrian national champions and rise in the Regional Ost. From 1961 / 62 bis 1965 / 66 of SVG played Gloggnitz in the Regional League East and could twice won the third place for themselves. After relegation from the regional league, the decline came into the last division. In the summer of 1971 , the two Gloggnitz clubs merged to form ASK SV FEZ Gloggnitz . The later renamed SV Gloggnitz club struggled up and played 1982 / 83 back to the highest Lower Austrian league. This had to leave the sports association after just one season. Then you played 15 years in the 2nd regional league - until 2004 in the regional league South / Southeast. After the championship title in the regional league South / Southeast in the 2017/2018 season, the SV plays in the 2nd regional league east. In June 2019, SV Gloggnitz celebrated another great success with the Lower Austrian Cup title.

Women's soccer

In the 2004/05 season, the women of SV Gloggnitz achieved the championship title in the 2nd Division East and thus qualified for the relegation games for promotion to the women's Bundesliga . The LASK Ladies from Linz were defeated 4: 1 in the home game on June 11, 2005 and 3: 2 in the away game on June 18, 2005 . The women's team of SV Gloggnitz thus achieved membership in the highest Austrian women's division for the first time. In the summer of 2012, the Gloggnitzer founded a syndicate with SC Wiener Neustadt , which lasted until 2015. In the 2015/16 season took over the license for the 2nd league east / south and the team.

Stadion

The first sports facility was built behind the Schrammelteich in Enzenreith. In September 1940, the new sports facility, today's Alpine Stadium, was built.
