The Austrian women's soccer championship was held in 1999/2000 for the 28th time after the 35-year break between 1938 and 1972. The top division is the women's Bundesliga and was held for the 18th time. The second highest division , this season the 21st edition, was divided into two regional leagues, with the 2nd Division East and the Regionalliga West being held for the 6th time.

Austrian soccer champion was USC Landhaus for the eleventh time . The champions of the second highest division were SC Stattersdorf (East) and Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz (West).

Season course

In contrast to the previous year, when seven clubs took part, the league was made up of eight teams. Instead of the relegated ASV Vösendorf , the promoted clubs SC Brunn am Gebirge and FC Hellas Kagran competed . The SG FFC Tirol / IAC syndicate disbanded and Innsbruck AC took over the women's team. The USC Landhaus became champions in the top division and won their eleventh title. At the same time, they are entitled to participate in the 2001/02 UEFA Women's Cup , which will be played for the first time next season. There was no relegation this season.

    Second performance level

    In order to reduce the costs for the clubs, this is played in three regional groups: 2nd Division East, Regional League Styria and Regional League West.

    The second performance level consisted of three leagues, separated by region:

    • 2nd Division East with the clubs from Burgenland ( BFV ), Lower Austria ( NÖFV ) and Vienna ( WFV ),
    • State League Styria ( StFV ),
    • Regionalliga West with the clubs from Tyrol ( TFV ) and Vorarlberg ( VFV ).

    2nd Division East

    Season course

    The league consisted of eight teams compared to the previous year, in which eleven clubs took part. Compared to last year, SC Dörfl was represented in this championship instead of the promoted clubs SC Brunn am Gebirge and FC Hellas Kagran , FFC Vienna United 1998 and DFC Obersdorf . This season, SC Stattersdorf became champion in the 2nd Division East , which means that it is entitled to play in the top performance class next season.

    The league consisted of ten clubs that played against each other in 2 rounds, in a round trip. The autumn champions were determined in 18 rounds. In spring, the first five played in 2 rounds, in a round-trip round for the champions of the Lower Austrian women's league. The last played in the same mode for relegation.

    Season course

    The league was composed of ten clubs compared to the previous year, in which eight clubs took part, because the 2nd women's team from ESV Süd-Ost was not there, instead SC Münchendorf and ASV Unterwaltersdorf played . This season, ASK Erlaa won the championship , which is entitled to move up to the higher division, 2nd Division East. SC Münchendorf and ASV Unterwaltersdorf went back to the lower division.
