Ilse Kopatz (born March 2, 1975 in Melk ) is a former Austrian soccer player .

Life

Kopatz grew up in Melk and attended elementary school and the Stiftsgymnasium Melk , where she graduated in 1993 . Then she began to study medicine , which she dropped out after two semesters. From then on she studied sports science at the Sports University in Vienna . First active as a volleyball player, she switched to women's football in 1999 .

In 2003 she became champion, cup and supercup winner in the ÖFB women's league with SV Neulengbach . From 2000 to 2004 she was also a member of the Austrian women's national team.

accident

On August 22, 2004, she was involved in a serious motorcycle accident and has been paraplegic ever since .
