Carinthians Soccer Women is an Austrian women's soccer club based in Glanegg , a municipality in the Feldkirchen district in Carinthia . The club is known for its youth work in Carinthia and the neighboring Slovenian region of Slovenska Koroška and uses young talents together with established players in the fighting team.
history
Carinthians Soccer Women was founded in June 2013 as a new independent soccer club. Before that there was a local women's team that played under the patronage of SK Austria Kärnten and then FC St. Veit . The team was supplemented with players from nearby Slovenia who received travel expenses.
In the 2013/14 season they played in the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga . In 2014/15 the club finished second in the 2nd East / South league and qualified for relegation, as SV Neulengbach's 2nd team was not allowed to advance to the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga. There they defeated the syndicate of FC Bergheim and USK Hof, the champions of the 2nd division middle / west. In the 2015/16 season , they played in the ÖFB Women's Bundesliga and finished last and were relegated again. In the 2nd league east / south you could reach eighth place there.
