The Burgenland Women's Cup was played back in the 2000s. In the 1999/2000 season SC Damen Dörfl won 4-2 against SC Pinkafeld, no results are known from the other seasons.

The BFV Women's Cup was played for the first time and as the BFV Women's Cup in the 2009/10 season. The second team of FC Südburgenland won against FC Winden with 5.0. Due to the low level of interest in a cup competition, there was no further edition.

When it was reintroduced in the 2018/19 season, the trophy was played with six teams: SC Neusiedl / See and SC Neusiedl / See II, FC Mönchhof, SV Sankt Margarethen, FSG Bad Sauerbrunn and FSG Südburgenland II.

So far, no sponsor has been won for the women's cup competition and so the competition is called either BFV Women Cup or BFV Women Cup.

Game mode, participants and draw

The BFV Women's Cup was held in three rounds with six teams in the 2009/10 season. In the first qualifying round, the clubs played for a place in the semi-finals. The winners of the semi-finals qualify for the final.

The BFV Women's Cup will be held in 2 rounds in the 2018/19 season. In the first round, the six clubs play in a game to move into the second round. The second round is played in a group mode in which the three clubs play against each other once. The group winner is the cup winner.
