The Vienna Women division is a football - division in Austria (third highest division).

- prehistory
The women's league east , which was introduced in the 1979/80 season in the area of Lower Austria and Vienna and was later renamed the 2nd division east and 2nd women's league east, took over the function of the regional league until the mid-2000s.

Before 2007, the Viennese clubs took part in the women's league in Lower Austria. The Vienna Football Association is organizing from the 2007/08 season with nine participants, UFC Atzgersdorf-Mauer, ASV 13, FC Hellas Kagran, 1. FC Paulaner Wieder, Nussdorfer ASC, FC Mariahilf, the second team from DSV Wien 04, ESV Süd-Ost and FFC Favoriten, the Vienna women's league. The first clubs that were able to enter the winners list were UFC Atzgersdorf-Mauern and ASV 13.

As of 2010, the Vienna Sports Club, the third team from USC Landhaus, ESV Süd-Ost, FC Altera Porta and First Vienna FC each named themselves once Viennese women champions.
Name (sponsor)
The Vienna Women's Regional League currently has no sponsor in its name. In the course of its existence, the regional league has been called either the Vienna Women's Regional League or the 1st Vienna Women's Regional League.
Game mode
The league consists of eleven teams, with each club playing one home and one away game against each other. A season therefore comprises a total of 22 match days. The first in the table after the end of the season is entitled to promotion to the second-class 2nd league with the champions from Carinthia, Lower Austria and Styria for relegation.
