The Carinthian Women's League is the third highest division in the football league system in Austria for the clubs in the state of Carinthia and the East Tyrol region that are organized in the Carinthian Football Association (KFV). Below the Carinthian regional league there is the single-track women's sub-league.

ASV St. Margarethen / Lavanttal rose in the 2000/01 season to the Styrian regional league and was the first Carinthian club to play in this league, which was then renamed the 2nd Division South in the 2005/06 season. The women's team of SV Spittal / Drau rose to the 2nd division middle in the same season. FC St. Veit made it to the 2nd Division South in 2005/06. FC Feldkirchen celebrated its greatest success in 2009 when it was promoted to the 2nd Division South.

In Carinthia, the Carinthian Football Association held a championship for women's football in the 2007/08 season with six teams, champions SC Landskron, SK Grafendorf, the ATUS Ferlach / DSG Ferlach syndicate, SV Glanegg, Feldkirchen FC and FC Magdalensberg. In the 2009/10 season, SV Spittal / Drau won a master playoff.

Name (sponsor)

The Carinthian Women's League currently has no sponsor in its name. In the course of its existence, the regional league has always been called the Carinthian Women's League or the Women's Carinthian League.

Game mode

The league comprises a maximum of ten teams, with each club playing one home and one away game against each other. A season therefore comprises a maximum of 18 game days. The first in the table after the end of the season is eligible for relegation to the second-class 2nd league with the champions from Lower Austria, Styria and Vienna.
