The Austrian Football Championship 1994/95 was organized by the Austrian Football Association . The single-track 2nd Bundesliga served as the substructure for the 1st Bundesliga . The third level was the Regionalliga Ost (Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland), Mitte (Carinthia, Upper Austria, Styria) and West (Salzburg, Tyrol, Vorarlberg).

First performance level - 1st Bundesliga

Mode and general

The championship in the 1st Bundesliga was contested with 10 teams, each of which met four times during the entire season. Salzburger Austria was able to become Austrian football champions for the second time in a row . As a champion you took part in the qualification for the Champions League in 1996 , but dropped out there. Thanks to the cup victory, Rapid was allowed to take part in the 1996 European Cup , where the team reached the final in Brussels. Sturm Graz and Austria Wien represented Austrian football in the 1996 UEFA Cup ; Austria came through the qualification up to round 1. FC Tirol Innsbruck, Linzer ASK and SK Vorwärts Steyr started in the UI-Cup 1995 , Tirol reached the final. With VfB Mödling, the last place in the championship had to be relegated. The place in the 1st Bundesliga with the GAK replaced by the champions of the 2nd Bundesliga in the following season. In addition, a relegation was held between the penultimate of the 1st Bundesliga and the runner-up in the 2nd Bundesliga. Here the SV Ried prevailed and thus also rose.

    Regional league middle

    In the 1994/95 season, a middle regional league was installed above the regional leagues from Carinthia, Upper Austria and Styria. Three clubs from Carinthia (SAK Klagenfurt, Wolfsberger AC, Villacher SC) played in this, three clubs from Upper Austria (SC Marchtrenk, ASKÖ Donau Linz and SV Traun) and two clubs from Styria (LUV Graz and ASK Voitsberg) took part.
