Hermann Stadler (soccer player)
Hermann Stadler (born May 21, 1961 in Oberndorf ) is an Austrian football coach and former professional footballer.
career
Hermann Stadler began his football career at SK Oberndorf , from there he moved to SV Austria Salzburg in 1979 . In 1983 Stadler went to Rapid Vienna together with Leo Lainer , but was unable to gain a foothold there. After an interlude at SK Voest Linz, he moved back in 1987 to the meanwhile second-class SV Austria Salzburg. Here he experienced his most successful period in football with the 1994 UEFA Cup final as the climax.
In 1996, Stadler ended his active career after 380 Bundesliga games (323 for Salzburg, 48 for Rapid, 9 for VOEST) and 38 goals (36 Salzburg, 2 Rapid). After several coaching positions near Salzburg, Hermann Stadler is now the coach of the U17 team at the ÖFB .
