The SC Marchtrenk is a football club from the Upper Austrian town of Marchtrenk and plays in the season since the 2019/20 Landesliga Ost .
history
The SC Marchtrenk was founded on August 15, 1946. In the mid-1990s, the team entered the third-tier regional league center, but could not convince there for long and had to relegate to the lower class after only two seasons. Since the 1999/2000 season, the club played in the Landesliga Ost. In the 2012/13 season, SC Marchtrenk rose again to the Upper Austrian League , which is the fourth highest division in Austria. In the 2014/15 season, SC Marchtrenk played for promotion to the Regionalliga Mitte . In the 2015/16 season, the newcomers could not replace the departures, so Marchtrenk rose again to the state league. In 2017/18 they were promoted again to the Upper Austrian League, but SC Marchtrenk had to relegate to the Landesliga Ost after the 2018/19 season.
