Manfred Wachter made his Bundesliga debut with VfB Mödling in the derby against FC Admira Wacker Mödling . He was in the starting line-up and was allowed to play through the match. He was allowed to play another 13 matches this season before moving to regional league club SR Donaufeld the next season . There he was only used three times, however, and so he moved back to First Vienna . He stayed for four years with the Döblingern in the first division , where he came on over 100 missions and 30 goals scored. In the summer of 1998 he went to league rivals FCN St. Pölten . He was involved in almost every match there, but the constant performance did not save his move to regional division SV Würmla . After only six months, however, he was able to return to First Vienna, where he was released in the summer. A year later, Wachter joined the national division SC Retz , where he ended his active football career after four years and over 100 appearances.

Wachter was previously only in the Austrian U-21 , where he made his debut on May 30, 1989 against the Norwegian U-21 . Wachter was substituted on for the break; he replaced Andreas Heraf . He played twelve matches for the U-21s.

Career (coach)

Wachter began his active coaching career as a player coach at SC Retz . After a year, he ended his football career in between, and after a three-year break he started again as a coach at SC Himberg . But after ten games and an average of a modest 1.3 points per game, he went on to SV Langenrohr in the summer . A year later he moved on to league rivals ASK Schwadorf . There he was able to convince, but in winter he switched back to SC Retz. With them he became champion in the Lower Austria regional league in 2012 and rose to the regional league east. He stayed until the winter break of the 2013/14 season, after which Wachter moved to SC Mannsdorf . But Wachter was dismissed before the following winter break, and he was then without a club until summer 2015. In summer 2015 he joined the SC Neusiedl am See , where he is still active today.
