Roman Stary (* 18th December 1973 in Vienna ) was an Austrian football - midfielder . He is currently an assistant coach at FK Austria Wien.

Career

Stary started his career at SK Rapid Vienna . His first professional station was the Grazer AK , from where he moved to SR Donaufeld . After two years he went to ASK Kottingbrunn , where he only played for five months. In January 1998 he moved to TSV Hartberg . After half a year he went back to Vienna and was the top scorer in Vienna the following year in the second division. From 1999 to 2000 he played for FK Austria Wien . In 2000 he then moved to FC Kärnten , with whom he made promotion to the Bundesliga as captain in the 2000/01 season and became the Austrian cup winner. Two years later he signed with FC Wacker Tirol , but returned to FC Kärnten after a year.

In the summer of 2006 he ended his active football career. Since then he has been working as a trainer and sports director at the academy.
