Vladimír Janočko (born December 2, 1976 in Košice ) is a former Slovak football player .

Career

Janočko started his professional career in the youth team of 1. FC Košice . In 1994 Janočko was accepted into the club's professional department. He played at this club until early 2000. In January 2000 he moved to Skoda Xanthi in Greece .

After one season in Greece he went to FK Austria Vienna . After very successful early years at Austria, where he even became Austrian Footballer of the Year in 2002, his performance deteriorated and Janočko fell out of favor with various coaches. A trigger for his poor performance were also many injuries, including a cruciate ligament tear in spring 2005, which put him out of action until November 2005. On May 9, 2006, after Austria's 3-0 cup win against Mattersburg , Janočko announced that he would leave Austria.

On June 13, 2006, Red Bull Salzburg announced his commitment, and Janočko had been working for the Mozart townspeople since the 2006/07 season . He was brought in to initially play the role of playmaker, but could not assert himself and was therefore mostly found on the bench. Nevertheless, he was able to celebrate the Austrian championship title as a substitute in 2007. In 2009 he also succeeded in this feat. In total, he played 16 times in the 2008/09 season and scored five goals. After the season, Janocko first signed for LASK Linz before, after short disputes, decided on Admira . After he could not convince after the first season at Admira and President Richard Trenkwalder had announced a tough austerity course for the new season, his contract, which ran until 2011, was terminated at the beginning of July.

In January 2011 Janočko switched to the amateur class at SC Leopoldsdorf / Vienna. In January 2013 he moved to his native Slovakia to MFK Zemplin Michalovce and ended his playing career here in 2015.

Vladimír Janočko played a total of 56 times for the Slovak national football team and scored three goals.
