Dušan Tittel (born December 27, 1966 in Námestovo ) is a former Slovak soccer player who first played in the Czechoslovak national soccer team , then in the Slovak national soccer team, today he is a soccer official.
Tittel spent his school and apprenticeship in the Slovak capital; first high school from 1980 to 1984, then he graduated from the Bratislava University of Economics and finally he finished his coaching studies at the Faculty of Sports Science at the Comenius University in Bratislava .
Club career
Tittel only played for MFK Dolný Kubín in his youth. At the age of 16 he switched to the junior team of TJ Slovan Bratislava CHZJD , he played for the Slovan A team for the first time in the years 1988 to 1991, then he moved to the south of France to the Olympique Nîmes for a year and a half , followed by the best four years and six months at Slovan, he was three times champion of Slovakia with the team and three times he was footballer of the year in Slovakia . This was followed by two years at Slovan's arch-rivals, FC Spartak Trnava . After one and a half seasons in Cyprus with Omonia Nicosia , he played at Slovan in the second half of the 2000/2001 season and then ended his playing career.
National team
Tittel played eleven games for the Czechoslovak national team in 1990 and 1991. For Slovakia he played 44 games between 1994 and 1998 and scored seven goals.
Functionary career
Tittel was coach and manager in various positions at Slovan, from 2002 to 2006 he was general secretary of the Slovak Football Association. In January 2011 he was elected President of the Slovak Union of League Club.
