Erling Braut Haaland ( Anglicised from Håland ; born July 21, 2000 in Leeds , England ) is a Norwegian football player . The striker has been under contract with Borussia Dortmund in Germany since January 2020 and is a Norwegian national player . He is the son of the former soccer player Alf-Inge Haaland .

Club career

Career start at Bryne FK

Haaland was born in Leeds on July 21, 2000 , when his father had just moved from Leeds United to Manchester City . In his childhood and youth he played in the youth division of Bryne FK . Here he was considered very dangerous at goal early on and came to 15 missions and as many hits for the U16 team of the club between 2013 and 2015. The attacker also made his debut in 2015 in the U19s, for whom he scored four times in three games, and also made his debut for Bryne's second team in the fourth-rate Norwegian 3rd division .
