Turgay Philipp Gemicibaşi (born April 23, 1996 in Riesa ) is a Turkish - German soccer player .

Career

society

Gemicibaşi's first youth club was SC Riesa , where he played from 2002 to 2008. He then joined the youth department of Dynamo Dresden . In November 2010 he played against SC Concordia Hamburg for the first time for the U-17 team from Dresden in the B-Junior Bundesliga . In the 2010/11 season he came to five missions for the U-17 from Dresden. In the 2011/12 season he played 23 games and scored three goals.

For the 2012/13 season he moved to 1. FC Köln . For Cologne he made 23 appearances for the B-Juniors that season and scored five goals. After a season with Cologne, he moved to the second-rate A-Juniors at RB Leipzig for the 2013/14 season . After half a year with Leipzig, he switched to the first-class A-Juniors of 1. FC Kaiserslautern in January 2014 . In February 2014 he played his first game in the A-Junioren-Bundesliga against FC Augsburg . By the end of the season he made five appearances for the U-19s from Kaiserslautern.

After half a year at Kaiserslautern, he moved to FC Viktoria Köln's U-19s for the 2014/15 season . In that season he played 15 games in the Bundesliga and scored one goal, but at the end of the season he had to relegate with Viktoria Köln.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the fifth division Sportfreunde Siegen . He made his debut in the league in August 2015 when he came on as a substitute for Björn Jost on the first day of that season against Westfalia Rhynern in the 76th minute. By the end of the season he came to 14 appearances in the league, in which he remained without a hit. As a champion of the Oberliga Westfalen, he was promoted to the regional league with victories at the end of the season .

He then moved to the fifth-class FC Gütersloh for the 2016/17 season . For Gütersloh he completed 20 games in the league that season, in which he was without a goal. For the 2017/18 season he moved to Austria to the regional division FC Karabakh Vienna . In August 2017, he made his debut in the Regionalliga when he was in the starting line-up against the amateurs of SKN St. Pölten on the second day of that season . In his first season with Karabkah, he played 28 games in which he did not score.

For the 2018/19 season, the club was renamed FC Mauerwerk . In September 2018 he scored his first goal in the Regionalliga in a 1-0 win against the amateurs of St. Pölten. In the 2018/19 season he made 26 regional league appearances for masonry, in which he scored one goal.

For the 2019/20 season he moved to the second division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021. He made his debut in the second division in July 2019 when he was in the starting line-up against Kapfenberger SV on the first day of that season and was replaced by Michael Brandner in the 75th minute .

National team

Gemicibaşi played against Kazakhstan for the first time for the Turkish U-17 team in October 2012 . In August 2013 he played a game for the U-18 team against Hungary .
