Aleksandar Kostić ( Serbian - Cyrillic Александар Костић ; born October 12, 1995 in Vienna ) is an Austrian football player of Serbian origin.
Career
Kostić began his career at SK Rapid Vienna . In 2010 he joined the youth team at SK Slovan-Hütteldorfer AC . In January 2011 he moved to the Vienna Sports Club . In April 2013 he made his debut for the first team of the WSK in the regional league when he was in the starting line-up against SV Stegersbach on matchday 22 of the 2012/13 season . In that game he scored the goal to make it 1-0, before being replaced by Patrick Derdak in minute 76 .
For the 2015/16 season he moved to First Vienna FC . In his first season for Vienna, he came to 19 missions in the Regionalliga, in which he was able to score a goal. In the 2016/17 season he was able to become champions of the Regionalliga Ost with the Döblingern . That season he was used in 23 games and scored four goals.
In the summer of 2017 he returned to his youth club SK Rapid Wien, whose amateurs he joined. In September 2017 he made his debut for the Rapid professionals when he started the second round of the ÖFB Cup against ASK Elektra . In May 2018, he finally made his Bundesliga debut when he replaced Thanos Petsos at half-time against Wolfsberger AC on matchday 36 of the 2017/18 season .
In January 2019 he was demoted to the amateurs of Rapid again. It was also announced that his contract will not be extended after the 2018/19 season. After his transfer, he moved to Serbia to FK Radnički Niš that same month , where he received a contract that ran until June 2021. For Radnički Niš he was not used.
For the 2019/20 season he returned to Austria and switched to the second division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2020.
Personal
Kostić received Austrian citizenship in 2018 . When he was naturalized, he gave up his Serbian passport.
