Nicolas Schmid (born February 22, 1997 in Linz ) is an Austrian football goalkeeper .

Career

society

Schmid began his career at DSG Union Pichling . In 2007 he moved to FC Pasching . In 2011 he came to AKA Linz , where he last played in June 2015.

For the 2015/16 season he moved to LASK . First, however, he played for the amateurs, the SPG FC Pasching / LASK Juniors , for whom he made his debut in the Regional League in August 2015 when he was in the starting line-up against SV Lafnitz on the third matchday of that season . In July 2016 he was against SC Austria Lustenau for the first time in the second division squad of LASK. He was promoted to the Bundesliga with the pros in 2017 , and to the 2nd division with the Juniors in 2018 .

For the 2018/19 season Schmid was awarded to the second division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz . In October 2018 he made his debut in the second-highest division when he was in the starting line-up against the second team of FK Austria Wien on matchday 12 of that season . In June 2020 he received a contract with BW Linz that ran until June 2023.

National team

Schmid played a game for the Austrian U-19 team against Qatar in May 2016 .
