Michael Brandner (born February 13, 1995 in Salzburg ) is an Austrian football player .

Career

society

Brandner began his football career at ASK Salzburg . From there he moved to the youth department of FC Red Bull Salzburg in 2007 , where he also played in the academy. For the 2013/14 season he was transferred to FC Liefering , the Salzburg farm team . In 2016 he switched to SV Ried in the Bundesliga on loan .

After the loan ended, he moved to the second division club SC Wiener Neustadt for the 2017/18 season . After the forced relegation of Wiener Neustadt, he moved to the second division club FC Blau-Weiß Linz for the 2019/20 season , with whom he received a contract that ran until June 2021.

National team

Michael Brandner played a total of 22 international matches for the Austrian youth national teams from U-16 to U-20. With the U-19 national team, he qualified for the 2014 European Championship in Hungary, where the national team took third place.

At the U20 World Cup in New Zealand in 2015, he played all 4 games of the Austrian national team. Once he was in the starting XI, three times he was substituted on.
