Kelvin Arase (born January 15, 1999 in Benin City , Nigeria ) is an Austrian football player of Nigerian origin.

Career

society

Arase started his career in 2009 at SR Donaufeld Wien . In 2011 he joined the youth team at SK Rapid Vienna .

Without ever having played for the regional league team before, Arase made his Bundesliga debut in September 2016 when he came on as a substitute for Louis Schaub on matchday eight of the 2016/17 season against SV Mattersburg in the 86th minute . After two Bundesliga games, he finally made his regional league debut in October 2016 against the Vienna sports club .

He played his first competitive game in the fighting team in September 2017 in the second round of the ÖFB Cup against ASK Elektra Vienna .

In November 2017, his contract was extended to 2020 and Arase was pulled up into the professional squad in January 2018.

In August 2018 it was awarded to the second division club SV Horn on a cooperation basis. After the loan ended, he initially returned to Rapid for the 2019/20 season and played for both the professionals and the amateurs. In August 2019, however, it was awarded again on a cooperation basis, this time to the second division club SV Ried . After only two games for Ried, he was ordered back to Vienna that same month.

National team

Arase made his debut for the Austrian U-15 juniors in 2014 . With the U-17 selection , he took part in the European Championships in Azerbaijan in 2016 . In September 2016 he made his debut in the U-18 national team . In October 2016 he played against Azerbaijan for the first time for the U-19 team .

In September 2018, Arase made his debut against Armenia for the U-21 selection . In March 2019 he played against Norway for the first time for the U-20 team .

Personal

Arase was born in Benin City , Nigeria . At the age of six he moved to the 22nd district of the Austrian capital Vienna .
